She performed throughout her childhood in festivals and competitions throughout the country and by the age of 8 came 2nd in the Sunshine All England competition at The Scala Theatre in the West-End,London. She also achieved Honours in all the RAD ballet exams and by the age of 9 had been accepted at The Royal Ballet School at White Lodge in Richmond Park. By 12 years old she was performing at Covent Garden with The Royal Ballet Company in The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty choreographed by Rudolf Nureyev. She decided, however, by the age of 14 that she wanted to become an actress, so went to Elmhurst Ballet School ( other notable pupils have been Fiona Fullerton and Jenny Agutter) where she acquired her first theatrical agent, securing her first job as an actress at 15, as Princess Tatiana in BBC production ‘Fall of Eagles’. She went on to Worthing Repertory Company as an acting ASM at 17 where she served her apprenticeship. Her considerable acting career (see CV) has spanned from 1973-2008 and included best actress nomination’s and many successful reviews. She has worked with the greats:- Sir John Guilgood ,Alan Bates, Alan Badel,Timothy West, Nicol Williamson, Edward Fox and many more. Her other accomplishments have included a PT Philosophy BA at Birkbeck , London University1986-9 ; PT Portfolio and first year BA Fine Art at Central St Martins 2000.Hetty has taught drama/ improvisation privately and as a group in her own company Acting Works at Dance Works, Marble Arch on and off 1994-2004. She was Head of Drama at Fusion Academy of Performing Arts 2006-7. She has lectured occasionally at London university BA drama, 2007-8 and lectured and adjudicated at Goldsmiths College, London University, for MA students in Art in Society 2006-8. Hetty choreographed for Ken Russell in The Secret Life of Sir Arnold Bax, Alice in Russialand and Lady Chatterley (BBC TV and DVD film). She also assisted Ken Russell in casting for Treasure Island (channel 4) and Alice in Russialand.1992-7. She co-wrote The Insatiable Mrs Kirsch (feature film) with Ken Russell 1993 and was assistant director to Stephen Tiller for his production of Warcrime 2004
